After having finished the technical school Ferenc started working in 1993 at Kálanos Film & Video and gained experience at different workfields. Through learning & working in the field of lighting and working as a sound engineer Ferenc found his way to cinematography. He assisted many different camera operators, attended various workshops & courses while exploring his passion for still photography.
In 16 years as a camera operator he worked on many different television shows in Holland and abroad. In 2006 he did the camerawork on a documentary series about Dutch prisoners in foreign countries ('Trapped abroad'). These series took him to places like Equador, Ghana, Peru and South Africa. The circumstances under which Ferenc and his team had to record the stories were anything but perfect, resulting in a compelling and emotional report. In 2007 he assisted Jessica Villerius producing and filming the documentary 'Roots of Evil - Words from Dutroux' which was broadcasted in several countries. Apart from being responsible for the cinematography on 'Glenn Helder - C'est la vie', it was also his debut as a moviedirector, rewarded with a nomination at the IDFA (the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam) in 2009. Not much later Ferenc took the Tiffen steadicam workshop in LA and now also works as a steadicam operator.
